The RGA Community Outreach Committee supports our community through various projects and events. We look forward to giving back to our community monetarily and/or through 4-5 volunteer efforts every year!
December 2024
The committee was honored to financially contribute to 5 CSRA non-profits with the remainder of their 2024 budget. The organizations who received contributions were:
- The Burn Center
- Mosaic Center
- Augusta Technical College Foundation
- Association of the US Army
- Leukemia Lymphoma Society
December 2024
Throughout the fall of 2024, committee members assisted The Healthy Grandparents Program with their Christmas initiatives. This Augusta University-backed program provides resources to grandparents who have sole custody or guardianship of their grandchildren. The committee bought, wrapped, and delivered presents for the grandchildren, as well as the grandparents. They also attended their annual Christmas Party to assist with crafts and serving food.

Our Community Outreach and YPN Committees came together for a joint project at Golden Harvest Food Bank to help sort and pack boxes of food to be distributed to those in need across the CSRA. Golden Harvest is an integral part of our community and we were honored to pitch in with their incredible efforts!
March 2024
Committee members filled over 400 eggs and put together Easter baskets for an Easter event at Cassie's Care Farm, a local farm that provides accessible experiences for special needs families. They facilitated multiple facets of the event, including face painting and playing the Easter Bunny!
January 2024
Committee members came together to assemble over 250 care bags for Augusta’s unhoused population – an incredible effort for an incredible cause. The bags include basic essentials like snacks, water bottles, socks, toiletries, and more. These were handed out during the City of Augusta’s Point in Time count, which helps the city account for an appropriate amount of housing and financial resources in the upcoming year in order to take care of those in need.
September 2023
Committee members gathered together for a roadside clean up and spaghetti dinner giveaway. They cleaned the Gordon Highway/ Deans Bridge Road intersection and Richmond Hill/Bungalow Road area, and gave away 150 pre-packaged meal kits.

Committee members set up a table at the Association luncheon to gather supplies from members to put together care bags for local nursing homes.
