National Association of REALTORS(R) Code of Ethics (COE) Requirement
The Code of Ethics is a 2.5-hour mandated course by the National Association of REALTORS on 3-year cycles. We are currently in the 3-year cycle (2019-2021), ending December 31, 2021. Failure to complete this requirement is a violation of your membership, and your REALTOR membership will be suspended until the requirement is completed. However, all new agents have 60 days to complete the course upon joining GAAR. All GAAR members are able to check his/her COE status under the "Review Your Education Records" of your Navica profile.
GAAR members: We currently have a Code of Ethics classes scheduled on September 23 (Frank Mears at GAAR), and will be schedule at least one more before the end of the year. You are able to register through Navica under "Association Events" and the class is FREE. You are also able to take the class on-line through NAR, https://www.nar.realtor/about-nar/governing-documents/code-of-ethics/code-of-ethics-training. Additionally, by completing NAR's C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) program, and getting endorsed, you will satisfy this Code of Ethics requirement.
If you have any questions regarding this requirement or your status in Navica does not reflect your requirement, please contact the GAAR office. If you are unable to locate a completion certification and the class was for Georgia Continuing Education Credit, then you can log into your account at www.grec.state.ga.us to access the information. At this point, you can either print to a PDF or save as a screenshot. Please include the course title, date of completion, your full name and license number.
