National Association of REALTORS(R) Biennial Code of Ethics (COE) Requirement

Between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, all REALTORS are required to complete a 2.5 hour Code of Ethics training. This training must be reported to GAAR or your local Association. Any member who joined GAAR after January 1, 2019 and completed the required New Member Orientation Class has fulfulled this requirement. All other members must complete the training by December 31, 2020 to maintain an active membership with GAAR. Failure to complete this requirement is a violation of your membership, and your REALTOR membership will be suspended until the requirement is completed. All GAAR members are able to check his/her COE status under the "Review Your Education Records" of your Navica profile. (Please note:  While instructors and schools do report CE credits directly to the Georgia Real Estate Commission, they do not report NAR's COE requirement for attendees. Due to many members holding memberships at different Associations, it is difficult to determine which Association should receive your attendance record).

GAAR members:  We have two Code of Ethics classes scheduled for 2019, August 20th and October 24th. You are able to register through Navica under "Association Events" and the class is FREE. You are also able to take the class on-line through NAR,

If you have any questions regarding this requirement or your status in Navica does not reflect your requirement, please contact the GAAR office. If you are unable to locate a completion certification and the class was for Georgia Continuing Education Credit, then you can log into your account at to access the information. At this point, you can either print to a PDF or save as a screenshot. Please include the course title, date of completion, your full name and license number.
